The site will help students see the difference in eating healthy compared to cutting calories. It is important for these students to realize their bodies are still developing and certain nutrients are needed for healthy growth. Here are some helpful guides to learn more about living healthy:

 

Nutrition Guide: This guide allows you to create your own food plan that is personally crafted to each individual. 

 

Sparks People: This is a free website that allows one to keep track of daily caloric intake. You can enter your starting weight and goal weight, also everything you eat in a day and it gives you a break down of all your calories. The site shows you how many calories you have consumed and how many you have left.

 

 

 

 

Exercise Guide for burning calories**

 

-Shoveling snow for one hour burns 392 calories

 

-Playing team football for one hour burns 724 calories 

 

-Ballroom dancing for one hour is 292 calories

 

-Bowling and Cleaning for one hour is 261 calories

 

- Badminton for one hour is 383 calories
